Encontro Celestial |Rota das Estrelas|

Desde 2010 que, entre março e novembro, a Rota das Estrelas percorre alguns dos restantes portugueses galardoados com estrelas Michelin, reunindo chefs em jantares e eventos com o objectivo de promover a excelência da cozinha nacional. Nas sete edições já realizadas o festival teve 38 iniciativas em Portugal e duas em Espanha, tendo contado com a colaboração de mais de 100 chefs de 15 países. Este ano começou no emblemático Mercado dos Lavradores , no Funchal (Madeira), e teve como anfitriões, pela primeira vez, dois restaurantes, o Gallo D´Oro do hotel Cliff Bay (duas estrelas, chef Benoît Sinthon) e o william, do hotel Reid´s Palace (uma estrela conquistada em 2016, chef Luís Pestana). Além de um jantar volante onde foi apresentada a interpretação dos produtos locais levada a cabo pelos mais de 20 chefs convidados, o Madeira Terroir – assim foi baptizado o evento local – contou ainda com um tributo aos vinhos portugueses a cargo de prestigiado sommeliers, e nos dias seguintes prolongou-se no Gallo.

O festival dá em abril um pulo ao continente e aterra no l´And, em Montemor-o-Novo no dia 21, onde o chef Miguel Laffan e respectivos convidados vão interpretar ao mais alto nível a gastronomia e os produtos do Alentejo. A 23 e 24 de Junho regressa ao Funchal, desta vez ao restaurante William, onde se apresentará um menu inspirado nos sabores regionais preparado a oito mãos, estando já confirmada a presença do chef holandês Michel Van Der Kroft (duas estrelas Michelin). Do Atlântico para o norte de Portugal, no dia 7 de Julho será a vez do chef Rui Paula receber a rota na sua Casa de Chá da Boa Nova, em Leça da Palmeira. Lá mais para o fim daquele mês, a 20 e 21, o festival atravessa de novo o Atlântico apresentando-se pela primeira vez no Brasil  e tendo como mestre de cerimónias o chef Joaquim Koerper do Eleven Rio de Janeiro. No regresso a casa caberá ao Lab, do Penha Longa Resort, em Sintra, comandado pelo chef Sergi Arola, acolher as estrelas a 27 de setembro. A etapa seguinte será a 20 e 21 de outubro no algarvio Vila Joya do chef Dieter Koschina, para depois regressar ao Eleven Lisboa, onde termina em beleza a 11 de Novembro.

No site do festival poderá acompanhar as novidades sobre os restaurantes participantes, que serão actualizadas ao logo do ano, mais perto da realização dos eventos.
